I'm thinking about a couple or three weekends away over the coming months to Peak District, Snowdonia, Lakes or somewhere similar to stay in a cheap hostel and get some HTFU winter hill riding and off-road running in.... Anyone done any before and got any good suggestions on location and hostels? Also, anyone fancy joining me for a change of scenery (WARNING: There may also be drinking involved!!)

Actually, good idea...!! Adding in a hike and/or a scramble would make it even more fun!!

Might try something closer Mid wales first..Cader Idris, coedy's around the corner 4 mtb'g s'track.
Although I get beaten up there so might take a break, good roadie hill sessions however and amazing views! Similiar price for a bunkhouse(or group book the place for £100, upto 19places)
Good race to the mountain top in May as well, if MM's are ur fancy (OMM last w/e! How 'd go Dave?).

Not sure on dates this year(have 2 weeks hol in Nov) wc 5th Dec??

I'll wait for others interested on here...
